Transforming onboarding from tribal knowledge into a scalable learning system.
Challenge
As the creative organization expanded, onboarding relied heavily on live training and informal knowledge sharing. Learning experiences varied between managers, documentation was fragmented, and new team members had limited resources to reference after onboarding.
Solution
I designed a scalable enablement platform that combined structured documentation, onboarding resources, standard operating procedures, and learning materials into a consistent experience for every new designer.
Impact
Standardized onboarding across multiple creative disciplines
Reduced reliance on repeated live training
Improved consistency in design quality and operational practices
Created a documentation framework adopted by multiple creative teams
Established a repeatable foundation for organizational knowledge sharing
As the team continued to grow, the challenge became less about documenting individual processes and more about creating a system that could consistently transfer knowledge across the organization.
Rather than building a collection of reference documents, I designed a connected learning experience that helped designers understand not only how work was completed, but also why those standards existed.

Building a scalable learning system
The platform organized onboarding into structured learning paths supported by documentation, reference materials, and practical resources that designers could revisit as they became more independent.
This reduced reliance on one-time training sessions while creating a more consistent experience for every new team member.

Continuous improvement
The documentation evolved alongside the team.
Feedback from each onboarding cycle informed future improvements, allowing the platform to adapt as workflows, tools, and organizational needs changed.
Rather than becoming static documentation, it remained a living system for organizational learning.
Scaling knowledge across teams
As the platform matured, its structure was adopted more broadly as a repeatable approach to documentation and knowledge sharing across multiple creative disciplines.
What began as an onboarding initiative ultimately became a framework for preserving institutional knowledge and maintaining operational consistency as the organization continued to grow.I led the strategy, design, and rollout of the framework, partnering with leadership to integrate it into talent development and long-term organizational planning.
I led the strategy, information architecture, content design, implementation, and long-term evolution of the platform, ensuring it remained useful as both the team and organization evolved.
